Day 3: The Shift — Letting Go of False Strength
The moment you stop striving and start trusting.
We’ve all learned how to be strong.
Strong for our families.
Strong for our jobs.
Strong for the people who lean on us.
And sometimes, strong for ourselves — because if we stop holding it all together, who will?
But somewhere in that rhythm, strength can start to feel heavy.
Not holy strength, the kind that comes from God’s presence — but the kind we manufacture to survive.
That’s what I call false strength.
It looks powerful on the outside, but inside, it’s running on empty.
False strength says:
“I’m fine.”
“I’ve got it handled.”
“I don’t need help.”
But transparency whispers, “I’m tired.”
And grace replies, “You don’t have to do this alone.”
The shift begins the moment you recognize that surrender is not weakness — it’s wisdom.
It’s the holy exchange between your hands and His.
It’s when you finally say, “Lord, I trust You with what I can’t carry anymore.”
The shift isn’t loud. It doesn’t demand attention.
It happens quietly, in the middle of an ordinary day, when your heart softens and your spirit exhales.
You stop fighting to prove how strong you are, and you begin to rest in the strength of the One who never fails.
Ask yourself today:
Where in my life do I need to make The Shift — from control to trust?
Maybe it’s in your relationships.
Maybe it’s in your finances.
Maybe it’s in the place where fear has been louder than faith.
You don’t have to fix it all today.
You just have to release what was never yours to hold.
Your story matters here.
