One Year Ago, April 5th
A diagnosis changed my life. But it didn’t define me. This is what I’ve learned one year later.
One year ago today, I heard three words that changed everything: “You have cancer.”
I didn’t know then what the road ahead would hold, the treatments, the surgeries, the physical and emotional toll. But I also didn’t know how much strength lived inside me. I didn’t know how powerful faith, support, and pure determination could be.
Today, I don’t just mark the diagnosis.
I mark the fight.
The growth.
The healing.
And the renewal.
I am not the same woman I was before April 5, 2024.
And I don’t want to be.
Because this version of me is more grounded, more grateful, and more aware of what really matters. This version of me smiles with purpose, speaks with power, and stands in transparency.
To everyone walking their own journey, I see you.
And to the me from one year ago, look at how far you’ve come.
With love and strength,
